Short Course: Fabrication of Wide Bandgap Power Devices

April 7 @ 8:30 am - April 8 @ 5:00 pm

Free

Monteith Engineering Center; NC State University; Raleigh, NC

The NC State Nanofabrication Facility (NNF) and Analytical Instrumentation Facility (AIF) are pleased to offer a two-day short course which will explore the science and technology underpinning wide bandgap (specifically, GaN and SiC) power devices. The target participants are professional engineers and technicians. This short course will be an avenue to develop critical skills for wide bandgap device manufacturers and researchers, particularly in the area of power applications.

The short course will include hands-on lab components in the NNF and AIF laboratories, lectures on both fabrication/characterization equipment as well as the fundamentals of wide bandgap power devices, and and a keynote seminar by NC State Distinguished Professor Jay Baliga, an internationally-recognized expert on power semiconductor devices.

Please see this promotional flier and an agenda from our December course for additional details. Contact Dr. Phil Barletta (pbarlet@ncsu.edu) with any questions or concerns.

Space is limited! Registration will close on March 31, 2020. (Note: we will offer this short course again in June 2020.)
